Covid-19 Information

As of 11:59pm on Thursday 2 December 2021, all of New Zealand has moved to the new Covid-19 Protection Framework (traffic lights).

This new approach to Covid-19 will introduce more freedoms for vaccinated New Zealanders.

The Manawatū region is currently in the Orange setting of the Covid-19 Protection Framework.

What does this mean for you?

Terminal Access

Public access into the Palmerston North Airport terminal is open to all members of the public at this time. The Government has not mandated vaccination or testing as a pre-requisite for entering domestic airport terminals. However, all travellers are advised to check with their airline as to any requirements to be fully vaccinated or tested before flying.

Everyone must use the NZ COVID Tracer App to track your journey to assist with contact tracing. QR Code Posters are displayed throughout the terminal.

Hand sanitiser is also available in selected locations throughout the terminal building.
An increase of our terminal building cleaning schedule will continue including all high touch surfaces.

Airlines

From 14 December, all passengers over the age of 12 years and three months must show proof of full vaccination status or a negative COVID-19 test before checking in on domestic flights with Air New Zealand and Originair.
